Project Description:
Installation of 18 Nr Modular Units to create a large learning Facility for the pupils of DSoE. Pad Foundations, Block Piers, Drainage lines inc Soakaways, Services, New Access Road and much more are the elements of work in which have been carried out on site.
Construction:
GSJP were engaged by Rollalong in November 2023 to aid with the Survey requirements and Design in order to get this job up and running.
After successful surveys and investigations Rollalong awarded GSJP with the Full Design and Build of this project. The Design team pulled together on this to ensure the first Design and Build for a client went smoothly…… They succeeded.
A new access road was constructed to enable Emergency services to reach the new dwelling should they be required. This was formed to full road construction and to highway standards.
Pad Foundations along with Blockwork pads were then installed whilst working alongside Integra who are manufacturing the Units.
Drainage on site has been designed and installed with the future developments in mind, as we had been approached by DCC and DSoE about another new Building location. Manholes have been built to suit along with levels and pipe size.
Continuation of works will be carried out once the building has landed and put into position….Watch this space.
Planning and Execution:
Planning of this project started back in Nov 23 once we had been approached reference the Design and Build as this was a very exciting opportunity for GSJP to develop there skill set. Once the design was complete and start dates set it was then up to the management team to appoint the correct team to complete these works. The team hit the ground running and completed all possible works to programme and to a very high standard.
Health and Safety:
Health and Safety is a priority here at GSJP, and with regular site visits from our in house H&S Officer just goes to show this. An unannounced site visit from the HSE tool the team by surprise but passed with flying colours. GSJP received praise from our client even having Directors take time to visit site and thank the Team personally.
Quality:
All elements of work on site including on site paperwork has been top tier. The whole GSJP team has come together on this project to ensure all works went to plan with this being a new string to our bow with the Design and Build. Well done to everyone involved.
Relationship:
This isn’t our first rodeo with Rollalong and hopefully not our last. We started our relationship early 2023 and have completed many projects within this short period of time and like to think we have grown a great relationship together and look forward to what the future holds.
