We offer apprenticeships and training for age 16+, including site based assessment, NVQs, Level 2 & 3 in construction. earthworks, street works, machine operators, ground works. We also offer day release for higher qualifications such as HNC, HND at Solent university. Currently we have employees attending quantity surveying, building surveying and civil engineering courses.
Emil Jakobsen (17 years old) – currently training through GSJP on a CITB National Construction College in Civil Engineering which is a 30 week programme, which includes both theory and practical studies.
Archie Brown (21 years old) – Currently training at Southampton University in a Civil Engineering HNC part time on day release.
Words by Archie – My civil engineering apprenticeship homes in on the design, construction and maintenance aspects of the industry. This apprenticeship has not only boosted my knowledge in the sector, but also my confidence. I use my skills in mathematics to deal with real life problems and complete designs for high profile clients. The apprenticeship has really pushed me to strive for more in both my work life and private life.
