Site Manager
As a site manager within GSJP civil engineering ltd, Darren is responsible for overseeing the day to day running of construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. Scott coordinates site teams, subcontractors, materials and programmes while maintaining strong focus on heath and safety and successful project delivery.
With over 20 years experience in groundwork and civil engineering, Darren has progressed from working in a hand digging team and as an engineers labourer through to Ganger and Site Manager.
During this time, Darren has also successfully co-owned and operated my own groundwork company for 10 years, gaining valuable experience in managing teams, projects, clients and the day to day demands of running a construction business.
Darren enjoys the variety that comes with working in the construction industry, particularly the challenge of overcoming problems and finding practical solutions on site. Darren takes pride in seeing a project progress from start to finish and working as part of a team to delivery a high quality job safely and efficiently.
When Darren is not working, he enjoys getting outdoors and making the most of his free time. Darren’s main interests are golf, camping and dog walking, especially getting away for a few nights camping and exploring new places with his wife and dogs.
